Winter Outfit (7): Rubis Belt in Action

Some readers of this blog would like to see an outfit paired with the reversible belt (the Rubis side), I finally managed to snap a picture on Sunday and hope it is not too late. ;-)

To be honest, I wasn’t really a fan of the color Rubis at the begining coz I prefer true red like Rouge Garance. However, after trying it in person, I changed my mind. Rubis is not a classic red, but a rich and interesting rasberry red with a fresh touch, especially in Epsom and Swift leather. It can light up a neutral ensemble easily, also goes amazingly well with earth tone, navy and even soft pink and pale sky blue.

Shirt dress: H&M, vest: Gebeana, necklace: COS, gloves: Roeckl, belt: Hermès, shoes: Marni.

Rubis pairing with any coral/dusty rose tone just says spring out loud!

    逍遥迷糊兔,谢谢亲爱的。周末不淡定地被朋友悠忽看了The Social Network,果然不喜欢啊,哈哈。

what I am not sure about is it seems to me just too many eye catching pieces all together.

streetwithnoname, reading your comments put a smile on my face because I was thinking exactly the same thing.:-D

Each piece of this outfit is nice but putting them all together seems too busy, so I actually took a picture without the gloves as well (click here). But after trying the outfit on I changed my mind, it’s not over the top at all and without the gloves or necklace, it would be less fun. So I ended up posting the one you see. ;-)

BTW, I actually worn this outfit with the belt on the dress and kept the vest unzipped, it’s more careless and subtle.

Thank you for being so honest and so SHARP, I always enjoy reading your input.

Omg, they make a strap in pink??? Merci beaucoup for that heads up! Just when I thought I’d be hanging up my H belt for the season…XXOO

WOW!! I love all the pieces and how you put that together!! I love all the neutrals (including the vest- I think we consider animal print in Texas a neutral!) with the pop of pink. If you lived in the states, I would hire you as my stylist!!

Saw it. Actually I would rather go without the vest. Pink H belt alone should be the center of the stage. :) But that is just my personal view point. Still need to see it on YOU~

And I think I posted too fast. Yeah, I agree that wearing the belt in and peek out just a tad of pink through the vest sounds definately more sophisticated and less confusing. :)

summerisaverb, yeah they do. Though it is not a hot pink like Rose Shocking. Rubis is a much darker shade of red. Good luck!

purseaddict, oh my dear, that’s a BIG compliment, THANK YOU! BTW, being a lover of animal prints, I consider them neutrals as well. For me these prints are just too natural to be bold and loud. ;-)

streetwithnoname, it seems that we weren’t thinking about exactly the SAME thing. lol~~ But I totally understand, thanks for sharing your thoughts. :-)

Thank you for the pictures of your Rubis belt, I love this color! I bought a retourne Kelly in Rubis and I’m wearing it with all my wardrobe. I agree with you that it looks great with earth tones but my fab combination is with pale gray. As always, the ensemble you put together is amazing!

Birkinmary, big congrats on getting your new Kelly!

Rubis is an amazing color, I haven’t thought that it’s so versatile and I love it with grey as well. It is somehow more interesting than the true red & grey combination.
