Another trend I find interesting is the new cutouts & see-throughs. These designs are definitely not for everyone, but I think they can be somehow very chic and mysterious if done tastefully. Would you use them to spice up your summer basics? :-)

I got a pair of cutouts leggings from Urban Outfitters and have been wearing them with short dresses. But haven’t got the guts to try out cutout shirts/dresses. Rumi from http://www.fashiontoast.com/ used to wear quite a lot of cutout T, but I’m getting tired of her style now…I’m wondering how to make cutouts a bit less loud.
I thought 80s would be over by next spring. I am wrong, sadly. :( These are so madonna in “Like a Virgin”.
jibjab, cutout leggings sound interesting. I can’t see myself wearing a massive cutout shirt/dress either. I wish to find some decent pieces which I can pair with basics like white tee and jeans. Try only one part(top, bottom, shoes…) in cutout design and keep everything else as simple as possible may make the most of the exotic part and at the same time less flashy. What do u think?
P.S. thanks for the link to Rumi’s blog. She has that typical model-off-duty-style. ;-)
streetwithnoname, yeah, kind of. But what Madonna worn are way more trashy. hehe~~
