It’s getting colder, but the good news is: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” :-) Maybe now it’s time to talk about the S/S2010 trends.
Unlike the crazy eighties, I really love how leather is now applied for summer looks. It’s no secret that the leather jacket has become a wardrobe essential and in fact leather has never been out of fashion, however, it is still interesting to see how women’s leather clothing is being taken to a new level. Like a homage to nature: simple, down to earth, yet with an air of fresh modernity.

呵呵，celine! 好像换了新人后人气直线上升呀~~~~ 那天看到其中一身白上衣配黑色短裤还是短裙，很有味道的说。感觉把Chloe后期的味道搬来了，同时加上了一点原来Celine上班族的简洁。
hehe, I used to follow these trends/runway shows every season very religously, but now I kinda fell behind.
Summer leather…interesting concept. I was just thinking the other day that how often and obvious nowadays designers have been admiring the past and not been able to come up with new fresh ideas. Is it the end of the fashion era? Personally I don’t mind copying the retro design and actually I have been vintage shopping for a while. I feel more attached to the “old” pieces these days. Some of my friends think that I should have born 60 years back and lived in the “swing dance” time. :)
By the way I have never liked leather clothes very much. Always feel that is not me. :) I am more a cotton/silk girl.
shaonian，我知道你说的那套！ :) 应该是白衣黑裙，做这个图片时我还想是用现在的这张还是那张来着。呵呵，我其实更喜欢那套整体的效果，但是觉得现在这张这个皮的短袖上衣更特别些，也更有夏天的感觉。
另外我觉得PP在Celine开了个好头。就像你说的，设计有Celine的传统，又加入了些她个人的风格。不过那些鞋子不是我的茶，呵呵~~
streetwithnoname, I love “old stuffs” too. That kind of old world charm and gracefully aged feeling is so attractive. Talking about swing dance, I got a scarf called “Swinging Saint Germain”(here is the picture). Maybe it is your cup of tea too? heihei~~ ;-)
As for leather. I like leather jacket/vest, but never considered wearing leather top or dress. I just found it kind of weird when leather is contacted directly with my skin. For SS10 leather, I wish to find a very light-weighted laser cut blazer.
Yep, yep, the scarf indeed was very eye catching. The only thing that I am not sure of is the color. Such a massive piece of yellow being worn so close to my face, not sure, not sure….but will re-consider if someday I would see it in person. :)

I’m not sure about leather being in contact with skin either, but pairing with the silk shirt sure looks like a perfect contrast!
I’m still looking for what to pair with my old style leather jacket, not successful yet :(
