Spring Outfit (7): Effortless or Not?

“My style icon is anyone who makes a bloody effort.” – Isabella Blow

Do you have a style icon? I don’t have a particular one in mind, but I do like those who make efforts before stepping out of the door, in order to look effortless. Pretty paradox, ah? lol~~ BTW, I’ll be on a business trip next week, so see you in a week. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! :-)

Sweater: Forte_Forte, shirt: COS, shawl: Hermès, skirt: H&M, booties: Céline.

I think what you like just described your own style precisely. They all look effortless, but you definitely made a lot of efforts before you put anything together with your amazing matching hands. Thank you for bringing us another art piece~Have a nice trip!

Another great look! I’m not sure about which scarf you have chosen, is it Voyage en Etoffes? I love the contrast of both the colors and the textures, congratulations! Have a great trip wherever you go! :)

The skirt looks quite long, with the short sweater, it looks sexy but still casual, effortless!

wave, oh you made my day! Thank you for being so kind. <3 I am still in the process of finding my own style, trying to be comfortable & confident with myself but still look chic in what I am wearing. xixi~~

Birkinmary, darling you are such an expert! Yeah, it is Voyage en Etoffes. :-) Thank you for the sweet comment.

jibjab, the skirt is actually a maxi, here is an action shot.

But for the outfit with the sweater, I wore it as a midi (the skirt has a elastic waistband which can be folded easily to change the length). ;-P

    you are my icon. ;)
hmmm….icons are normally created and recognized after being tested by time and different eras of fashion evolution. I guess that’s why Kate Moss is not quite there but Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly are. :)
These stripes are very intriguing but make me dizzy after stairing at them for a few second. :D Love the scarf!

streetwithnoname, I am nobody, haha~~~ I haven’t really paid attention to the stripes but after seeing your comment, I focused on the stripes and my eyes start to “hurt” as well, lol.

Love this outfit! The contrast of the striped skirt and pattern on the scarf is so well balanced with the neutral sweater! Hope you enjoy your business trip!

Lovely and comfy. As for the action shot, love everything wonderfully. Would it be too much if the flats switch to B&W animal prints, such as zebra? A little pointy would be great : )

Fay, hugggsssss, so happy to see you here again!:-D I love the idea of zebra flats, they’ll spice up the look with a modern edginess(too bad that I missed one pair on yoox, 5555:-( ).
