Another wonderful article I read recently is an interview of Comme des Garçons’s Rei Kawakubo (here is the link). I love her comment on fast fashion: “I don’t feel too excited about fashion today. People just want cheap fast clothes and are happy to look like everyone else.”
Those words remind me of this picture I came across today. No clothes & accessories are more interesting than something darling, unique and individual… Have a great rest of week everyone! :-)

I couldn’t agree more on what Ms. Philo said in her recent interview. Probably because while I am getting older, my appreciation for things that last and bring me joy, grows too. Be it a piece of clothing, a great movie, or a pleasant night with friends… Ok, a night won’t last forever but the happiness and fun is equally priceless, right? ^_*

It’s still August, but it already feels like Autumn. At least today, lol. Not a great day to take a walk in the city, but the perfect time to preview the Fall/Winter carrés. ;-)
Since I am in the mood for purple this season, designs that caught my attention are Esprit Ainou and Magic Kelly. Well, I have to go to the store and see them in person first. How about you? What’s your favorite new season carres?

I heard on the radio this morning that a German court just awarded a man convicted of murdering an 11-year-old boy euro 3000 in damages because a police officer had threatened violence during an interrogation. Actually I don’t want to discuss issues like this on my blog, but this case just reminds me of that thought provoking film: Unthinkable.
It’s an R-rated thriller full of bloody violences and brutal tortures. If you prefer something funny or something romantic with a happy ending, this might not be your cup of tea. However, if you are serious about films, you like realistic plot and enjoy a decent cast, it is well worth watching.
What I love about this movie is how it gets you thinking about your own moral grounds… Wish you all a happy weekend! :-D
In my last post, I wrote down my approach to build a perfect wardrobe. Besides quality over quantity, what has helped me most is trying to buy only my personal favorites. This post is about some of them. ;-)
The black sweater top/dress has a funny name: the square dress. It is basically just like a square tube when laying flat, but with a pair of interesting asymmetric short sleeves. Unfortunately I don’t have an action shot to show you, but here is an online picture, so you can see how it looks like in person. I’ve worn the dress in various ways and it never failed to wow me.
The bag, belt and necklace have become my wardrobe staples ever since I took them home. Couldn’t be more happy with these purchases.
Last come the skirt and these flat sandals, being a lover for modern abstract prints and geometric shapes. They are things to spice up an outfit and help me form my personal, dare I say: style? Other than that, the bright colors always cheer me up. :-D So what’s your wardrobe favorites?
