Fall Outfit (1): The Asymmetrical Gang

My beloved black asymmetrical vest wants to hang out with her best pal: the asymmetrical wool skirt, for a cold, but beautiful autumn Friday! Wish you all a wonderful weekend! :-)

Sweater & vest: COS, scarf: H&M, skirt: Max&Co, booties: Zara.

Pre-Fall Outfit (4): LBD à la Alaïa

I’ll probably never buy any Alaïa dress at retail price, even when they are on sale, I’ll think twice before splurging. But luckily, we have the most wonderful copycat in the city: COS (Copy Of Style. No, just kidding, it is actually called Collection Of Style, haha). I tried on this Alaïa inspired LBD a while ago and felt in love with it. However, I didn’t take it home because I prefer loose fit clothing to tight, body-con ones.

We passed by COS the other day and I mentioned the LBD to my hubby, he suggested that we go in together so he can help me make the decision. It sounds pretty nice, why not? So after trying it on in front of him, I have to have it because, according to him, it looks fabulous on me (he certainly hasn’t noticed that I was holding my breath all the time, lol).

In the end I did buy the dress coz it requires a flawless body, a good motivation for me to keep going to the gym. :-D

LBD: COS, necklace: Miu Miu, boots: See by Chloé.

Pre-Fall Outfit (3):Office Neutrals

An easy work outfit. Everything is fairly simple, but each item has its own little twist. I especially like the gray cardigan, the pocket detail gives a classic look a downtown spin. ;-)

Cardigan & skirt: COS, stripe top: H&M, necklace: DIY, shoes: Kenzo.

Pre-Fall Outfit (2): Lounge Lover

Cozy sweaters and cardigans are for me the perfect pieces to transition from summer to fall, I wore this outfit for running errands in the city last Saturday and couldn’t feel more relax and comfortable.

BTW, I stopped by COS while waiting for a friend, their F/W collection already hit the store. You gotta check it out because there are so many nice pieces. ;-P

Sweater dress: Lounge Lover, necklace: Marni, scarf: Hermès, arm warmers: Falke, booties: Celine.

Pre-Fall Outfit (1): Matchy Matchy

A black/white/red ensemble for a musical evening (COS blazer, See by Chloé shirt, DIYed necklace, Miu Miu skirt & flats). It’s Friday, happy weekend my friends! :-D

Summer Outfit (8): Cheap & Chic

Green is my mom’s favorite color, she’s got tones of clothes in all shades of it. Unlike her, I prefer emerald green than any other green hues. So I’d like to share my love for green today.

This gorgeous 4-pockets emerald green dress is from H&M (a very well made dress with fabulous cut at shoulders. My picture doesn’t do it justice, it is more luminous and skin flattering IRL. Highly recommended, hehe. ^_*). I am pairing it with a Marni brooch, DIYed necklace and suede ballerinas from Gianna Meliani.

Have a great week everyone! :-)

Summer Outfit (7): Blue Breeze

Couple of days ago a friend mentioned one of my beloved old carres which holds a special place in my heart: Le Jeu des Petits Bonheurs. It is something special for me not only because I adore the design, as its name says: Play of Life’s Little Treasures, but also because it was my very first Hermès carre. ;-)

So I would like to share a carre outfit today (shirt & leather necklace: COS, shorts: Zara, shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo).

Summer Outfit (6): Feminine with a Hint of Heavy Industry

Inspired by the beautiful Gaia Repossi, I think I really should wear some beloved pieces from my wardrobe more often. This artistic skirt from Marni is one of them. I’d like to create an office outfit this time.

Pairing it with a navy silk top from COS, Hermès belt and patent degrade sandals by Gianni Meliani. BTW, the necklace is also from COS, I love the raw industrial feeling it offers. Together with the shoes, they changed the attitude of the whole outfit, making it less ladylike but more urban and fun. :-)

Summer Outfit (5): Orange in our Hearts

I so wish I could change the title of this post to something like “dress for success”, but unfortunately after 2 attempts in 1974 and 1978, the Dutch failed to collect the World Cup for the third time… Again. :-(

Many of my friends know that I started watching the World Cup games in 1994 and have been a supporter for the Italian team ever since. Thank God they won the champion in 2006, it was like a dream come true, so for me the long journey of being an Azzurri fan came to an end. This time I was hoping for an orange victory, because my best friend, who started watching the games together with me since 1994 is a big fan of the Netherlands. It could have all been so different for Van Marwijk’s oranje and it could have been such a wonderful summer for her…Sigh…

Maybe this is how life is, but never give up your hope! Happy weekend my friends (in a cheerful orange mood)!

Summer Outfit (4): Lagoon & White

I actually wanted to try something more ethnic with this gorgeous Carré but end up with a simple white shirt and jeans shorts. A throw on ensemble is more comfy and maybe better for a hot summer day! ;-)
