Style Inspiration: Being a stylish Mom-to-Be

As some of my close friends already knew, there has been a little change in my life, which gradually affects the way I dress. However, as long as style is concerned, I still want to be true to myself in this special period of time. The only difference is I’ve been wearing more comfy clothes than tight tailored ones lately. lol~~

Well, this post is actually about a young Russian lady: Natasha Goldenberg, who has a fantastic maternity style. I adore her take on vibrant colors and cozy knits, also love how happy & confident she appears. I think that’s the most important thing during a pregnancy besides eating right & working out. ;-D

Miss Lindy

For the upcoming cold winter days, nothing is more energetic for me than a little piece of “fortune cookie” in bleu électrique. :-) Hope this picture will cheer you up too, have a fabulous weekend!

A Laid back Sunday Afternoon

Finally it’s Sunday! It has been a long, busy and really fun week for us. With a lot events going on and not much sleep but many wonderful surprises… Now I am ready to relax, enjoy some sweets and read a great book.

Wish you all a lovely Sunday! :-)

Raining Tuesday

When it rains, I always tend to grab more brights than neutrals. Plus a cup of hot chocolate. ;-) How about you, does the change of weather affect your choice of clothes & drinking habit?

El Aura

“Mr. Bielinsky made use of a familiar film noir vocabulary, but not for the usual young-filmmaker-in-a-hurry purpose of showing off his facility with genre tricks. Rather, his movies restore some of the clammy, anxious atmosphere that made the old noirs so powerful to begin with…”

- A.O. Scott for The New York Times

I am not a film critic so I can never write such an insightful review. However, I have to admit that among the few movies I’ve watched recently, El Aura (aka. The Aura) is my absolutely favorite.

It’s a weird tale about a quiet taxidermist, who suffers epilepsy attacks, plans the crime of his life that he has been waiting for… While my hubby complains about the relative slow pace of the film, I, on the contrary, found it brilliant and really enjoyed it (you see, I am writing this post to see if any of you is on my side, lol).

Unlike those Hollywood blockbusters that deliver nothing but CGI effects and cheap stories, this Argentinian production draws you back to the essential beauty of a great film: the captivating plot, the real atmosphere, the amazing camera work and the outstanding performance. If you haven’t seen it and you are fond of crime & drama, the is one movie that will keep you on the edge throughout. ;-)

Carré Story – Monsieur et Madame

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. To kick off a new week, I’d like to share one of my recent acquisitions: T-Shirt Carré Monsieur et Madame by Bali Barret.

What attracts me about this carré is not only the fun design (a gentleman and a lady with iconic Hermès products for man and woman painted inside their body), but also the fabric. Unlike the classic silk carré, this one is 100% made of cotton, which is butter soft and just perfect for hot summer days! Besides, I love how versatile it is. My SA joked that it is a “collector’s” piece because you can count the items in the carré to see how many you’ve already have in your own collection. lol~~ My dear H lovers, what do you think? ;-)

Smart Ballerinas

Every time I am in Paris, I am amazed by the effortless chic style of the Parisians. Well, I know it sounds so cliché, but when you walk down Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the charming streets in Le Marais and the Saint-Germain des Prés areas. Passing by those beautifully dressed Parisians, you’ll know what I mean. ;-) Sorry that I have no pictures to share with you coz I am too chicken to ask them for permission (ouch, my broken French).

One of the wardrobe essentials for many French women are the ballerina flats. Comfortable, stylish and so easy to wear, they are the most chic alternative to heels. I love the fact that ballerina flats will always lend your look timeless sophistication. Either paired with slim-fit pants or a high-waisted skirt, a LBD or a trench…

So, what’s your favorite brand for ballerinas? I recently got two pairs and am very happy with both. Left one: Elizabeth Stuart, right one: Les Trois Garçons.

My Favorite Things in June

- Color block flat sandals.
- Two tone chain necklace.
- Last but not least, white orchids. :-)

Summer is about refreshing colors and fun! :-D BTW, we are headed to Paris tomorrow (this time for meeting friend and for the summer sales, lol). Have a great week and I’ll see you next Monday!

White Peonies

It has been really hot lately, which makes me too lazy to take any new outfit pictures (well, I know I still have two fashion challenges to complete, haven’t forgot it ^_*). But for today, I’d like to share my lovely white peonies, hope you can feel a bit of the coolness through this photo. :-)

Le Kelly

Sometimes finding the right bag is like finding a soul mate – is about being lucky. You just need to have a little faith, trust yourself and trust what gives you pleasure. :-D

Unlike some of my friends who prefer bags without veining, I, on the contrary, adore them. They make a bag less “perfect”, but marvelous and natural in each her own unique way…
