Fall Outfit (2): Cheap & Cheerful

If you have been following my blog for a while, you may have noticed that I am a skirt/dress kind of girl most of the time. So in case you are getting bored of seeing all these non-pants outfits, today finally comes something different. Lol~~

This pair of wide-leg polka dots pants from H&M is one of my recent cheap and cheerful funds. I didn’t even want to take them off after trying on. Fabulous cut, lovely made and they are just too comfy to resist. :-P

Shirt: Maje, sweater: Forte_Forte, belt: Hermès, pants: H&M, brooch & pumps: Marni.

Unknown

Back in March when the movie was first out, both our friends and we were highly interested in seeing it in the theater. Unfortunately there was always something in between and we couldn’t set a date that suits both our schedules at the time. So we later decided to watch it together at our home cinema when the Blue-Ray is available.

Now the wait is finally over and we all enjoyed the movie. I actually thought that “Unknown” is something like a mix of “Taken” and “The Bourne Identity”, but it is a bit different. It has far less action compared with both other films but the story is more twisted. Not as great as the other two but definitely entertaining for a boring Thursday night. :-)

I love:

- The Bounre-ish affair
- The fast-paced storyline
- The gloomy and mysterious atmosphere of Berlin in Winter.

One big pity is that you really can guess most of the plots. But hey, that’s sometimes also a fun part of movie watching. Especially when you are speculating and betting with friends. ;-) Have you seen the movie? What’s your thought?

Wish everyone a happy weekend!

Fall Outfit (1): Red is a Neutral

Happy Monday everyone! Although officially we are still having summer, it already feels like Fall. I adore the crisp air in the morning and evening, while the rest of the day is full of pleasant sunshine. So happy that my favorite season of the year is here! :-D

Wish you all a wonderful Mooncake Festival!

Cardigan: Robbi & Nikki, shirt: COS, skirt: Tory Burch, necklace: Miu Miu, bag & scarf: Hermès, shoes: Marni.

About Individuality

Another wonderful article I read recently is an interview of Comme des Garçons’s Rei Kawakubo (here is the link). I love her comment on fast fashion: “I don’t feel too excited about fashion today. People just want cheap fast clothes and are happy to look like everyone else.”

Those words remind me of this picture I came across today. No clothes & accessories are more interesting than something darling, unique and individual… Have a great rest of week everyone! :-)

Let your Wardrobe age with You

“I absolutely love fashion. I love doing new things and finding ways to swerve in a different direction. But one of the reasons why I try to use fabrics and cuts that don’t go out of fashion is because I like the idea of women buying the clothes and then… I don’t know what the word is… cherish sounds over-emotional for a relationship with a piece of clothing… but for a woman to feel proud, satisfied, comfortable and powerful in them, to wear them and get on with their lives…

What I love is this idea of a wardrobe, the idea that we’re establishing certain signatures and updating them, that a change in colour or fabric is enough. I do think that the world doesn’t need many more frivolous bits and bobs that end up left in cupboards or landfills.”

I couldn’t agree more on what Ms. Philo said in her recent interview. Probably because while I am getting older, my appreciation for things that last and bring me joy, grows too. Be it a piece of clothing, a great movie, or a pleasant night with friends… Ok, a night won’t last forever but the happiness and fun is equally priceless, right? ^_*

Wishing you all a sunny and happy weekend! :-D
